What religion can survive the criticism it would level against another religion?
In order for a religion to “prove” itself—in order for a religion to disprove its competitors—it must undertake a criticism of other religions. Christianity is not intellectually compatible with Judaism, and vice-versa. Thus, to win converts, Christianity must disprove the claims of Judaism, and [...]

Mocking God?
June 24th, 2008 · No Comments
Yes, I mock your god, because your god is a false god. Yes, YOUR god.
Your “truth” is self-delusion. You reject any rationale that leads to a contrary conclusion that the bible may not be truth and that god may not exist.
Your “love” is a coin into the vending machine of redemption. The purpose of “saving [...]

For the Believers . . .
June 10th, 2008 · 1 Comment
A question:
How does one go about demonstrating that one religion is more “true” than another?
How does one prove the “truth” of one’s religion without simultaneously doing it damage? By disproving one religion, one also disproves their own, no?
To be certain, such a demonstration would have to be supported by some kind of objective means, correct? [...]

Nietzsche and the Nazis
May 19th, 2008 · 6 Comments
After reading some modern day butchering of Nietzsche’s philosophy, most recently, that of Ravi Zacharias, and the impact upon history of Nietzsche’s thought, I feel it is somewhat necessary to provide clarification on both.
Zacharias directly and obliquely relates Nietzsche’s thinking to Hitler and Mussolini. And he does this not just once, but repeatedly, without offering [...]

Can Man Live Without God?
May 18th, 2008 · No Comments
“Can man live without God?” That’s a question asked by Ravi Zacharias in his book by the same name. Unfortunately, Zacharias’ book doesn’t offer any substantive response beyond tortured logic that sounds more like a diatribe from Laura Ingraham than an intellectual response to atheism.
I seriously tried to read this book. However, it is intellectually [...]

A Simple Question, Pt. II
May 6th, 2008 · No Comments
A few days ago, I asked a very simple question:
Q. Where in our Constitution does it acknowledge or state that the U.S. relies upon the Judeo-Christian God, Christianity, or Christian morality?
A. It doesn’t. Period. God is not mentioned once. Religion appears exactly twice, once in Article VI where the “no religious test” prohibition is articulated, [...]

Inherit the Wind

May 5, 1925. A warrant is issued for the arrest of John Scopes, a high school biology teacher, for teaching evolution—in violation of state law—to a high school biology class in Dayton, TN.
The result: God goes and trial and fails to appear to defend “His” creation. In lieu of God, William Jennings Bryan shows up [...]

A Simple Question

I have a very simple question.
To anyone that wants to argue that the United States is a Christian nation or founded upon the Christian religion, I ask you this:
Q. Where in our Constitution does it acknowledge or state that the U.S. relies upon the Judeo-Christian God, Christianity, or Christian morality?
A. It doesn’t. Period. God is [...]
